About Us

The STEPPING STONES RECOVERY TRUST (SSRT) has been established to directly help those affected by the disease of addiction to alcohol and drugs. Its primary aim is to make the opportunity of recovery affordably available to all who need it.

This involves establishing residential facilities that operate on the “Retreat” principle of recovery as well as undertaking efforts to inform, educate and train others to carry our message of hope.

 

Our program differs from Medical (Clinical) Treatment approach mainly in that long-term commitment to 12-Step programs (AA, NA and Al-Anon) is integral to the Retreat approach.The New Zealand Retreat of Auckland (NZRA) is the first residential recovery facility of its kind in New Zealand. It is a 10 bed retreat solely owned and operated by SSRT.
